| Genesis | Having a child with mental retardation in the family has changed the attitude of his sister to move in the service path. Her concern and commitment for her brother got the acceptance from the family members and to pursue carrier in special education. Continued networking and sharing, motivated Mrs. Vandana to conceptualize and develop “CHETANA FOUNDATION” as Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) in the year 2004 as a Founder. The whole family supported her and this has resulted for the real inclusion of her brother in the society with marriage and kids. Another key role behind this CF is the mother of the Founder who inspired, motivated and traveled in the beginning for her son with mental retardation and later to support several such children and parents. |
